And tomorrow seems unreachable, a 1000 years away...

Sometimes, life on the Rez is difficult and not very easy. There is nothing to do and a lack of opportunities. There are drugs and binge drinking and social fightings that go on. But it's not all bad things because there is family here, there is a rich spirituality here.

On a deeper level, you can feel the sadness and remorsefulness of a hundred years of slain people, and the wraiths leak up through the very trees and plants themselves, and our people become lost. Most youth here cannot see beyond the moment, or think beyond the day.

AIHEC 2nd Place Winner

At the AIHEC (American Indian Higher Education Consortium) Student Congress 3rd Annual Film Festival this year, I took 2nd place. AIHEC was held in Bismarck, ND of all places (North Dakota is suprisingly more boring than South Dakota).

Sophia Kizilbash, Will White Eyes, Kevin Killer, Kim Killer and Valerie Collins were also in attendance.

November is Native American history month. Or, atleast it should be. There is a ton of history to be learned on Native Americans. There are well over 500 tribes, and several thousands of years of history. I feel that Native Americans deserve their own month, and it should be in November.
