What has politics come to?

This has been a memorable week for both the major parties in the country, and for myself. I was a witness to history as Barack Obama accepted the Democratic Presidential nomination in front of over 80,000 people at Invesco Field in Denver, Colorado. To be one of those people in the audience is a lifelong memory.

August 28, 2008 is a day that is historic for the citizens of the United States of America, but it was especially a memorable day for African Americans across the country.

 For the first time in 232 years, there will be an African American vying for the position of President of the United States...and it sends chills up my spine for two reasons.
