Integrity in Academia

I love school. I love my current study abroad program. I love my classes (for the most part). I actually do not mind writing papers.

However, I do mind the cheating.

This includes, but is not limited to, your vanilla, run-of-the-mill copy/pasting, to using siblings papers to using powerpoints your boyfriend made for your presentation.

With so many students in college and the competition stiffer and fiercer than ever. Students have to do every little thing that can possibly make them stand out amongst the others. Thousands are competitng for precious scholarships, fellowships and opportunities to enhance their own well-being. Or some students just don't want to look incapable of handling the work.

Ahoj from Praha!

I recieved a nomination not too many hours ago and I decided to check out the site, perhaps join, read about the fellowships program and write  a blog entry.

So a little about who I am...

I am currently in Prague, Czech Republic with the Global Institute for Leadership and Civic Developement (I'll plug that here: http://www.globalleaders.info/). The purpose of the program is to develop leadership skills and understand what it truly it means to be a global citizen  (not to mention we also get to experience the gorgeous city of Prague!) There's about 40 students and we are from all over the world. I've only been here a week and it's an experiene unlike any other.
