What's with all the spam?
Seriously, there was one of my blogs that got like, tripled hits of spam replies. I just got another one on my "why I would let my kids read porn" blog.
What gives?
Tessana
The most hypocritical thing that Columbia College Admin has ever done
I wasn't sure if I should get more angry with my school's administration, laugh at the irony as it ties to my blueprint (and couldn't have beent better timing) or just storm Dr.
Social Justice In pop Culture: Comics, and my sociology professor "crazy" theory (Part 2 of Many)
Here's another 3 am blog for ya'all to digest.
Why are you up so late this time Tessana?
I just got home from work. I spent the last 13 hours counting 15k pairs of shoes and god knows how many t-shirts, jibbitz, hats, straps, backpacks and other stuff. This is what I get for being the inventory coordinator.
So Pop culuture/social justice for you.
Social Justice in Pop Culture (part 1 of probably many)
It's 250 AM as I start this one.
Yep. 250 Am CST. Why are you up at nearly 3 am Tessana?
I fell asleep like 3 second after I got home, then I woke up at midnight. Couldn't fall back asleep.
So I asked my roommate to toss in a DVD (since he was near the player) for me to watch until I fell asleep.
Deconstructing Stereotypes: Why I hate Regis and Kelly as of 10 seconds ago
So I woke up early this morning to finish up some stuff for work.
In the background I was listening to the news and there was a promo for "Regis and Kelly" with them saying that Carla Gugino was going to be on the show.
How politics influence pop culture and/or pop culture influence politics Part 2: Watchmen

Here is another one for you to digest.
Congrats to Sam Jackson: How politics may influence pop culture (or pop culture influences politics?)
Hmm.
If you haven't heard yet, something amazing happened in Hollywood in the last couple of days.
Samuel L Jackson signed a contract with Marvel studios to "reprise" his role as Col. Nick Fury for......
NINE MOVIES.
NINE.
Anyone else having a hard time adjusting to being home?
Maybe its just me.
But I am having a bad week. I think my boss is going to try to can me.
Overwhelmed is an understatement to how I feel right now.
Coming back on monday threw me off the rest of the week (i.e. I thought Tuesday was Monday etc).
So that didn't help.
For those wanting to promote their blueprints....A nifty idea here
I would like to give a shout out to Calvin for creating open spaces and Julia Sewall for hosting the art and activism open space on Sunday. It was nice as an artist to see so many people in the room.
With that being said, I know some people were trying to thing outside of the box of how to get their word out....
Defending the 1st amendment...if for the "icky" stuff (by Neil Gaiman)
I just stumbled across this blog post by Novelist and Comic book writer Neil Gaiman (ansani boys, sandman).
It reminded me of a question that Tony (my trainer) posed to me about having a creative arts studio promoting 1st amendment rights. Was I willing to stand up for everyone- even the racists and sexist artists that I don't agree with?
