What is this? 1984?!! we can not allow this to keep happening!

it is utterly absurd and anger-inducing; sure the kid may have gotten a bit excited, but for cops to think they are justified in grabbing and pulling at him, jumping him to the ground, and tasering him is absolutely unacceptable!

He is no threat! watch the videos below.

and no less, John Kerry stands back quiet while this happens, as does everyone in the room at the time. WOW... so sad... just imagine if every person in that room had had enough collective courage to stand together and say, "woah, what the f is goin' on here?!"

Not everyone was silent

Just to be accurate, you can hear a few comments throughout the end of the first clip:

Repeated: "Why are you doing this?"

"Police brutality! Rodney King!" a few times (and while I'd say it's overly reductionist to equate this with the brutality against Rodney King, I appreciate the sentiment)

And, of course, "That's fucked up!"

I commend the people who taped this and put it up online.

Still, though, most people don't know what to do when a police officer pulls a taser on someone. Mass outcry would have been unlikely to make them stop.

I'm surprised that John Kerry said he'd honor his question with a response but didn't defend his right to have asked it.

To be accurate...

John Kerry did speak up while the cops where trying to grab him at the beginning. He said he would like to answer the question.
