AZ Update!
Wow! What a state! My trip to Arizona has been an amazing one. In the past week I have traveled across the state, met professors, college students, and other Arizonians from all walks of life. I previously wrote, with somewhat flowery language, about the beautiful landscape. After spending a week here and taking in the culture, meeting with people and even taking in the excruciating heat - I love this place. Arizona is an extremely unique place, and I hope to return soon.

Front Line Leaders Academy
This weekend, after finishing up my AZ Recruitment Tour 2006 "Confessions of A Blogger" - I returned to Tempe, AZ to help with the launch of the Front Line Leaders Academy. Front Line Leaders Academy is a campaign development program that aims to equip young leaders with the skills necessary to be an integral part of a campaign at a young age.
The weekend has been amazing experience. Twenty young leaders are gathered in Tempe to learn from Young Elected Officials from across the country. State Representative Alisha Thomas Morgan of Georgia, Julian Castro, former city council member of San Antonio, Texas and Hoboken, New Jersey School Board President Carmelo Garcia are all working with Fellows and sharing their knowledge of how to run and win public office at a young age. Additionally, Fellows are receiving intense personal training from senior level PFAW staffers Sharon Lettman, Deece Eckstein, and media consultant Joel Silberman.

I do agree with you- Arizona-- an extremely unique place with an obsession of "dry heat."
