As the end of May creeps closer, I thought to send out a word of encouragement to all members of the YP4 family. Specifically I want to share that the work to be done does not stop on your campus. If there are issues you observe at the university level, it's probably worse in your hometown. With that, it's important for youth to keep showing up in professional spheres - even when we're simply referred to as "the new intern." As you hang out this summer, make your time especially meaningful by observing the man and his workings. When given the opportunity, I would encourage everyone to continue to challenge the status quo through continued conversation and exploration of ideas. Yea - it might shake things up between a complete stranger or even your best friend, but think of the good it will do in the long run. After all, we can't leave all the important thinking to those paid to do it because our generation has stumbled upon this great treasure: freeing your mind to think outside the box is priceless!
