The Success Factor: Professional Etiquette

Like it or not, we all need a working understanding of professional etiquette to be truly successful in what we do.
Like it or not, we all need a working understanding of professional etiquette to be truly successful in what we do. You can be the most amazing worker and have the best insights, but if your professional etiquette skills are lacking then you won't meet your potential. Cathy Wasserman defines professional etiquette as "necessitates the ability to effectively and respectfully navigate and communicate with the systems, processes, and people in your workplace." Professional Etiquette covers everything from how you follow up on emails from your boss, to navigating organizational hierarchy. These skills prove essential not only in an office environment but also in any organization, group, or project. By polishing your professional skills, you can really "pop" in an organization from a good worker to a great worker. A good program to expound on those skills.
Im glad you realize that ther is a need in the African American community for these skills. There's a great internship program created just for minorites to do just this. And guess what, these internships are paid! And when I say PAID I mean PAID!! The name of the program is INROADS.I'm an INROADS Intern and enjoyed my first summer working for Limited Brands, the company that owns Victoria Secret, Express, Bath and Body Works and The Limited. I know, doesn't sound like an internship, right? Wrong. I learned alot and hope that the program will grow even more this summer. INROADS hopes for the same. If you are majoring in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or Engineering, apply online today at www.INROADS.org.
It's a great opportunity. Feel free to ask me any questions!
