Thank you 2007-2008 Steering Committee!
The 2007-2008 Steering Committee convened one last time in NYC this past weekend. Check out our first convening.
Talk about strong, talented leaders who are and will continue to advance progressive values and issues in communities across the nation...Chris, Vicente, Kevin, Ben, Emily, kYm, Jess, Tobi, Erin, Alex and Zach are such innovative, bold and exciting leaders.
I learn new ideas and approaches to social change every time I meet with this group of people. And this weekend was no different. I learned more about the work Vicente is doing in the Mission District in San Francisco: Check out the YouTube video: Gang Injunctions
I learned more about Chris' immigrant justice work in Southern California (maybe Chris will post the link to his video...). And I learned how Jess and kYm are taking their 2007 Blueprints to the next level (stay tuned for more info).
