Equality Ride Stops at Liberty University
Yesterday the 2008 Equality Ride kicked off their annual trip to colleges and universities with policies or atmospheres that negatively affect LGBTQ students.
Keep watching this blog for weekly updates on their journey, and I'll pass them along!
The Ride has stopped at Liberty (founded by the late Jerry Falwell and now chancellored by Jerry Fallwell Jr.) in previous years without being welcomed onto campus to speak with students. This year, Liberty chose to allow a small group of Riders onto campus to have the dialogue that is so desperately needed in environments that are unsafe or unwelcoming to LGBTQ people.

Good luck to the 2008 Riders as they continue on the road!
