Justice Requires Accountability: Sign-On Letter for Torture Accountability
The Bill of Rights Defense Committee recently launched a series of sign-on letters inviting individuals concerned about torture accountability to share their views with U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and members of the Senate Intelligence Committee. In addition to a letter drafted on behalf of concerned citizens, we've drafted particular letters capturing the unique perspectives of lawyers, health professionals, educators, and people of faith. Over 3,800 signatures have been collected so far to build momentum for days against torture actions happening around the country on Thursday, June 25th, Torture Accountability Action Day, and June 26th, UN International Day in Support of Victims of Torture. Please sign this call for accountability and justice, and pass the letter along to individuals and communities who oppose torture.
