Political thought in the United States can't just be divided into two camps — us vs. them, left vs. right, progressive vs. conservative — it's much more complicated than that. There are actually a variety of progressive viewpoints on the economy, foreign policy and values — and they often contradict one another.

Or not. Instead of letting your brains rot away under some umbrella while you sip a drink that also has an umbrella, you should take the time to brush up on your activist strategies. New Progressive Academy Online course - Starts June 4th

The new Progressive Academy Online course will cover GOTV and Direct Voter Contact. YP4 has partnered with the Young Elected Officials Network to develop the curriculum for this 6-week course that will take a critical look at how to effectively target, contact and persuade voters.

Ideas Sector 101: Marketplace for Ideas begins Monday, April 16th and will focus on the dynamic and broad spectrum of topics encompassed by the Ideas Sector. In this course we will examine the basic ways thought can influence social change, from think tanks, editorials, and blogs to case studies highlighting examples of activism through public policy.
