Shuffling Up Our Foreign Policy
Since I believe everything my president tells me (like any good citizen)- as far as I know, the Iraq war has been going pretty well. Sure, Judge Doom, aka Rummy, may have gotten the ol' vaudevillian hook a few weeks ago, but my fair and balanced sources at Fox News have for the most part assured me of coming success in Iraq - despite what CNN or Colin Powell has to say.
Which is why I was surprised to see a dramatic change in course in foreign policy when it comes to North Korea. This is supposed to be the era of the Bush Doctrine - pre-emptive war - bomb now, ask questions later.

Igniting Social Change or: How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Blog
I just returned (ok, it was Thursday and I finally posted this on the blog now) from Demos, where they held an excellent discussion of social networking and social change. I would have blogged live but I much prefer to check my spelling and grammar on Microsoft Word and balancing a laptop actually on my lap, is well, awkward. So instead, I am semi-live blogging; coming to you slightly after the fact - but with hopefully limited grammatical errors and chock full o' analysis. Call it a compromise. Besides, I didn't have the network key to log on to the Demos network.

A New Page in Social Networking?
Although I must admit it's not a regular occurrence, I do occasionally stumble across the capitalist screed known as the Wall Street Journal. Yesterday, in their Campaign 2006 section they featured an article on a new wave of social networking sites with a political bent.
