Camp Wellstone

July 22 and my blueprint has been approved! What a great feeling... after 6 months of thinking, planning, evaluating...and starting all over again; the relief of finally having a grasp on how I am going to make a difference in my academic community is inexplicable.

One aspect of my blueprint for social justice that was different than other blueprints I've read was my goal for leadership development. Youth organizations in the progressive movement are collaborating to coordinate efforts to step up to this challenge through Generation Vote!

When our generation wants to plan a vacation, find a great new band or pick a really good read, we rarely rely on just one source.

We're used to looking at peer reviews, community ratings and open dialogue easily accessible on the internet. We may not always agree, but there is comfort in hearing more than one take on any given product before making a choice.
