There was an interesting article in the New York Times this past Thursday regarding the struggle of one Native American tribe to preserve its language from becoming extinct.

Aaron Moreno, the October featured fellow, is an accomplished chess player and wanted to bring his love of chess to the kids at public schools in Tucson, Arizona.

The Oakland Resolution of 1996 states in the third resolved: "BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Superintendent in conjunction with her staff shall immediately devise and implement the best possible academic program for imparting instruction to African-American students in their primary language for the combined purposes of maintaining the legitimacy and richness of such language whether it is known as "Ebonics," "African Language Systems," "Pan-African Communication Behaviors" or other description, and to facilitate their acquisition and mastery of English language skills;"

Who is to say what is the most important or accepted or standard language? Who is to say that Ebonics is not good enough and should be used as a tool to teach children 'standard' english? Why is the historically white and Western language the precedent?

Yup, we're at it again. The gay agenda is working its evil puppet strings. A Barstow high school in California is trying to form a Gay Straight Alliance. Can you believe it? Those crazy teenagers are at it again trying to make the school an accepting and diverse environment.

But one member of the community won't let this abomination go unopposed. In an editorial to the Desert Dispatch, a local paper, Richard Reeb tears into the idea of a GSA, denouncing the organization part of the "gay agenda" that is trying to destroy America.
