Some professors are now apparently offering their textbooks online in response to the ridiculously high prices of textbooks today!

I quite like this article from New American News. While a bit basic in its explanation of migration, I appreciate its comparative approach, particularly through the telling of immigration  stories  from both Vietnamese and Mexican perspectives.

This is an interesting tactic to take: boycotting underfunded public schools in order to get the state to put in more money into them.
