In a letter to the Servicemember's Legal Defense Network (the largest advocacy organization serving LGBTQ military personnel) John McCain once again decided to show the bigot he's will to be if only it will get him the votes come primary day. McCain reiterared his support of the Don't Ask Don't Tell law, a law which the majority of the Americans (and servicemembers) do not think should exist.

Many were confounded today to find that the popular online networking site MySpace had made a stunning move. The site had removed the option to self-identify as "gay" in their background & lifestyles portion of the online profile.

The buzz has been happening all day, some saying it was a programming error, which those experienced in programming saying that such a change had to be purposeful.

Some even say that such a move by Rupert Murdoch, who purchased MySpace not too long ago and openly homophobic, would not be unexpected.

ACT UP, a social justice organization and political protest group originally formed around the issue of AIDS, has risen from the ashes. In NYC the phoenix burns bright, rekindled by a powerful speech by LGBT rights activist Larry Kramer some weeks ago.

The organization kicked off its revival with a protest of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs comments about homosexuality being "immoral".

The protests continued recently with a powerful move in Manhattan.

It's been a roller coast ride. I'm trying to keep everybody updated but between the practically non-existent wireless at our hotels and the constant work it does get a bit hard.

458 Billionaires control over half the world's wealth. 3 trillion people earn less than $3 a day. The abject conditions of the working poor continue to disintegrate each day around the world and in our own country.

A man once wrote about this class struggle. His name is Karl Marx. His teachings and communism have been dragged through the dirt by many intent on making sure the current system is eternal.

Today I spent 7 hours in a jail cell in Clinton, MS for taking 4 steps onto Mississippi College's campus. I wanted to talk with students about why the college's discriminatory policy towards LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) students hurts their peers. For wishing to have this peaceful discussion I was arrested in front of hundreds of students eager for discussion.

After I was released our bus, which has "Social Justice for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender People" written boldly on it, was stopped twice in five minutes by the Clinton, MS police. We were told to get out of town.

Most of you should have heard about Gen. Pace's comments about gays, calling them immoral and saying that Don't Ask Don't Tell needs to stay in place to keep this immoral behavior out of the army. If you haven't check it out here.

Of course this has created quite a stir, with politicians jumping to take sides in the already heated debate. Sen. Brownback, a Republican presidential candidate, has already joined the bandwagon in agreeing with Gen. Pace. So where are our Democrats in all of this?

When we woke up Friday, it was absolutely gorgeous outside in Sioux Center, IA. We didn't have to meet with community members until the afternoon, so the morning was used to recover from exhaustion and catch up on work we all had been falling behind on. Then we headed out to a couple spots where the locals liked to spend their time, hoping to continue conversations with students from Dordt and maybe start some new ones.

The first coffee shop was a chic café that fused local charm with a classy edge. Upon our arrival, some students from Dordt were already gathering and we quickly struck up conversations with them. We broke off into groups, some of us just chatting while others gathered with students to play card and board games.

Today was the first stop of the Equality Ride, a two month cross-country journey of 50 young adults visiting conservative Christian colleges to challenge anti-gay policies. We are in Sioux Center, IA and visited Dordt College which holds the policy that bans homosexual behavior as well as advocacy for LGBT rights.

Here's the scoop. Last night three vehicles circled our hotel agressively. Two of their passengers got out and mooned us (so mature). Nothing too bad right? Well it gets worse....
