It has been a ride writing for the yp4.org blog. I was an orginal member recruited back in 2007. Now things have come to an end, and I just wanted to say good-bye to you today. There have been many subjects that I addressed, and backed them with resolutions for a better world-society. I believe that this vehicle to write, on a blog, inspired me to  think critically and really assess situations that are in my surroundings and beyond.

I look forward to reading the works of the new blog team that will be writing shortly. Thanks for reading my work, and I hope that you have a great summer-fall semester 2008.

I ask that you do one thing for me today, or whenever you can... Imagine Being Black.

Holla.Black,

Letters: Corporate Media Sucks!

I think that it is important that we speak out against organized media in this country. If you watched the debates this past week, they were awful. I miss Peter Jennings and Ed Bradley so much. They defined what real journalism in this country, instead of the celebrity driven journalistic moderators that we are seeing today. I feel as a journalist that the Bush administration as totally distorted what the media stands for and our purpose. Please speak out when necessary, especially in this situation. ABC should be ashamed of themselves for letting Charlie Gibson as Barack Obama continously about Rev. Jeremiah... when his name is Obama... not Jeremiah. This is why I have decided to stay in the business of publishing and producing real journalism.--kYm

I believe that it is safe to say we need a reality check regarding
what is going on around the world. This is just a regular briefing that
I have starting posting from SeeingBlack.com to inform others what is
going on nationally and globally. We often are still moving to fast to
see that we have it better than a lot of individuals.

I thought this might be of interest to
peeps in the DC area. IIt is important that we all understand the
importance of safe sex. AIDS is now an epidemic in the African-American
community. We all need to become more aware of our surroundings, who we
pledge our allegiance to in regard to love-relationships, and
protecting our lives.--kYm

If you have been swarmed in books and writing papers for the last few remaining weeks of the semester here is a detailed account as to what is going on in society right now. I thought you might be shocked by some of the blurbs that have been provided as to what our country is going through at the moment. However, we still are searching for an answer: one will come--it is just up to us to continue fighting for what is right.

Memphis Marchers Honor Legacy of Dr. King

I wanted to share this piece with the yp4 community today. Remember that we are all in this together--social justice. Dr. Martin Luther King was a hero, mentor, friend, father, uncle, brother, and leader.

In this day in age we need to remember our past and from wence we came. It hasn't been to long since the Civil Rights Movement ended.

People are now starting to forget Dr. King's b-day or act as though it doesn't exist. I say you should be shamed. He fought for the rights of all mankind--what have you been doing lately?
