Introduction! Mezzanines, cheese, and learning how to blog...
So I know what the blogosphere is, but I've never really become entirely familiar with the bloggosphere, as they like to call it. I do enjoy writing, though, so I'm going to try to utilize this feature throughout my YP4 fellowship year.
If anyone knows about good progressive womens issues blogs, please holler and let me know.
I've really enjoyed myself this weekend- The energy and passion with this group of fellows is contagious, and I've met some invaluable connections to progressive mentors.
I'm really excited because I know that i want to do for my blueprint- I'm the chair of the CDA women's caucus, and I'm going to use the infrastructure that we've created to launch a nationwide legislative campaign to mandate the HPV vaccine, making it available to ALL women.
EXCITED! IM EXcITED! LETS DO THIS!

progressive women's blog
Emily,
http://www.feministing.com is a great progressive women's blog. I would love to work with you in your efforts to influence our government to vaccinate girls against the virus that causes cervical cancer.

I hope this doesn't come
I hope this doesn't come across as accusatory but I'm curious as to your reasoning for making the HPV vaccine mandatory. I've heard critics say that mandating the vaccine is governmental interference in women's bodies. Are you for mandating the vaccine so that it is free for everyone?
I don't know much about the issue, admittedly, but I'd like to hear (read, I guess) what you have to say. I'm sorry we didn't get to meet because I would have loved to talk to you!
Also, Feministing is awesome.
