This may be an effective way to get people around you to stop saying racist things in your presence. (And to maintain a civil relationship with them afterward, which is waaaay less likely if you get into the "who you are" conversation.)
But when I watched this a few weeks ago, I couldn't help but wonder... where does deeper anti-oppression work come in?
As part of the fellowship program, fellows learn to identify and act on "trunk" issues as well as "roots" and "fruits." What strategies do we use to encourage introspection about what leads to oppressive language and how we can change it?

I entirely agree with you, but in this case I think it's just a case of anti-oppression/collective liberation not being able to be fit into a 3 minute YouTube video. :)
