Yo! Progresso! What about FP homie?

This weekend I learned that the progressive movement is well established on the domestic front. We are critically and eloquently defining our stand on the issues from civil rights to education. But how do we feel about troop surge in Iraq, the emerging Economic bloc in the European Union, or Darfur? What is the progressive answer to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict? Or the dictatorship in Burma, or Cuba?

Perhaps the answer lies in our domestic progressive issues. We are the young people for economic opportunity, we are for justice, and we are the young people for equality, so why wouldn't we just extend that in looking at international issues?

The political apathy in any issue is a pandemic of a society. Any action we take or choose not to take in foreign policy will affect us directly. Applying our progressive values in foreign policy will ultimately be an asset to the progressive movement.

Just a quick note...

Amr,

I have enjoyed getting to know you so much. Thank you for sharing your life with me.

I hope we can continue to keep in touch, and possibly even work together. Who knows...maybe we can start a GW/AU progressive project!
