Kevin Killer used his 2006 Young People For (YP4) fellowship to educate people on his reservation about a ballot initiative that would have banned civil unions.
Coming from an area with 70 to 80 percent unemployment, he's now a trainer with Campus Camp Wellstone and has been elected President of the YP4 Network.

Blueprints for Social Justice
The Blueprint for Social Justice is the cornerstone of the first-year fellowship experience. Ongoing financial and organizational support are available to those who have completed the yearlong fellowship and are still on campus for the continued development and expansion of existing Blueprints for Social Justice. YP4 will continue to support Blueprints that are intentional, sustainable and community-driven. Continuing fellows who wish to strengthen existing Blueprints or create succession plans for successful Blueprints are encouraged to apply for additional support and funding.
