The gentrification of the Mission District brought a "gang list" that affected young people in a 60-block radius, limiting their freedom of movement and association. Vicente Garcia used his 2007 Young People For fellowship to organize the community to stop the gang list.

We’ll take a look at some of the movement’s movers and shakers, its strategies and alliances, the changing conversation about religion and politics, and some strategies for countering the right and mobilizing progressives to advance progressive policies and make sure that we can win sustainable progressive change through the election and beyond.
