Corina is a community and youth organizer from Boston/Cambridge, Mass., who believes in the power of the people. She wants to continue organizing and to use her education to work as a high school teacher. She agrees with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s quotation, "I cannot be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be." She thinks that we all should work for the better good of all people and look for ways to integrate our passions and strengths. Corina is very passionate about youth violence and hip hop, believing that youth power is people power and that we should all fight for human rights, not just civil rights. She is part of Hip Hop Media Lab (H2ML), an intern at Project South and part of The U.S. Human Rights Network, United Youth and Youth Workers of Boston (UYYWB), Boston-area Youth Organizing Project (BYOP) and OU Voices of Inspiration. She is also working with rapper Quanstar on his free media campaign.
