Jess Klein used her 2007 Young People For (YP4) fellowship to launch the 1 in 3 Ask Me campaign to raise awareness of sexual assault and violence against women.
Building on this Blueprint for Social Justice, Jess has used the YP4 internship program to work on her project full-time and take the campaign to other campuses in Michigan.

DeMario is a junior political science major, sociology minor at Howard University. DeMario has worked for the AmeriCorps Heads Up program for the past two years as a literacy tutor at Amidon, Bowen, LaSalle and Plummer Elementary Schools. He primarily works with fourth- through seventh-graders but has also worked with first-graders. DeMario has dedicated himself to studying and analyzing the issues surrounding racial and socioeconomic disparities. DeMario's career ambitions include becoming a political analyst, a collegiate professor, and the CEO of a multimedia corporation.
