The gentrification of the Mission District brought a "gang list" that affected young people in a 60-block radius, limiting their freedom of movement and association. Vicente Garcia used his 2007 Young People For fellowship to organize the community to stop the gang list.

Ezra is a member of the Student Senate of Oberlin College. He also works for the Oberlin Student Co-operative Association and has worked on several local and state campaigns. Most recently, Ezra interned in the office Delaware Governor Ruth Ann Minner.
Post-Summit Goal: To work with the Roosevelt Institute to develop progressive policy initiatives on campus.
