Kevin Killer used his 2006 Young People For (YP4) fellowship to educate people on his reservation about a ballot initiative that would have banned civil unions.
Coming from an area with 70 to 80 percent unemployment, he's now a trainer with Campus Camp Wellstone and has been elected President of the YP4 Network.

Inanna is a student at DePaul University majoring in political science with a triple minor in psychology, LGQ studies, and equality and social justice. She currently serves as the vice president of I'L Pledge, a T-shirt campaign to legalize same-sex civil unions in Illinois under HB1826. Inanna's focus at DePaul is to get a well-rounded education with an emphasis on civil rights and civic duty. Inanna commits all of her time and effort to ensuring that each person has the same opportunity to succeed. Thus, she is cur- rently serving as a committeeperson for the 40th Ward of Chicago. It is through this position that Inanna creates a system of checks and balances in order for change and justice to take place. Inanna is confident that through this experience, she will be able to create a more aware constituency.
