The gentrification of the Mission District brought a "gang list" that affected young people in a 60-block radius, limiting their freedom of movement and association. Vicente Garcia used his 2007 Young People For fellowship to organize the community to stop the gang list.

Jason A. Richberg is a senior at Wilberforce University; he is currently the President Of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Delta Chapter, and Co-President of the local National Pan-Hellenic Council Chapter. Jason is 2006 Young People For and Politicorps fellow he has worked alongside many campus and community groups to engage new people in the political process. Jason has worked to raise Civic engagement and awareness of campaign and political issues and foster an attitude of civic responsibility in his community. On a more personal note Jason truly believes that people hold power and individually you are weak but collectively a group’s power is unstoppable.
Post-Summit Goal: To increase voter registration and civic participation on campus.
