Morgan Lucas is a Political Science and Economics major who will be starting her final year at UCSB in the fall of 2008. She has been involved in politics since the early age of thirteen, when she began interning with her State Assemblyman. Since then, she has been passionately committed to electing Democrats at all levels of office. She has been most extensively involved in the campaigns of General Wes. Clark, Sen. Barbara Boxer, Sen. John Edwards, Governor Jeanne Shaheen, and Congresswoman Jane Harman. In 2007, she served as an intern for Congresswoman Lois Capps and then traveled to New Hampshire to work for Sen. Edwards. Upon her return, she worked as a fundraiser for the Senator in Southern Ca. Right now, she is continuing work in the fundraising community; primarily for Congresswoman Harman and Governor Shaheen of New Hampshire. When she is not busy electing Democrats, Morgan is actively involved in the microfinance world and is currently working to develop a college network for the organization Kiva.org.
