The gentrification of the Mission District brought a "gang list" that affected young people in a 60-block radius, limiting their freedom of movement and association. Vicente Garcia used his 2007 Young People For fellowship to organize the community to stop the gang list.

Hey hi hello!
My name is Micah and I'm one of the newer additions to the YP4 staff in NYC. I work in the Education and Leadership Department with Rob. What this means in layman's terms is that I keep in touch with the Fellows in the Advanced Leadership programs to make sure you're getting everything you can from us.
My previous work experience includes everything from after-school youth programming to LGBTQ activism. Most recently, I worked as a job coach with adults who have mental illnesses.
On a more personal note, I like dinosaurs, my favorite foods are basically what most 12 year olds like to eat, and I'm totally in love.
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone in the YP4 family!
