Quiana is a 2007 Drum Major Institute Scholar and an advisory board member of the Shepherd Program for the Interdisciplinary Study of Poverty and Human Capability, a unique college program that allows students to explore domestic and global poverty inside and outside of the classroom. Her interest lies in integrating experiences in social activism with public policy to create sustainable change. Quiana also serves as a dorm counselor and the adviser to the Freshmen Leadership Council, where she prepares promising first-year students for campus leadership positions. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. After graduation, she plans to work in the field of public policy and establish a network of community centers designed to increase access to health care and educational opportunities.
