Beni was President of Amnesty International at University of Miami in 2006-2007, and has worked through high school and college to bring awareness of human rights abuses with events to make Amnesty campaigns present and visible on campus, like an annual Die In coordinated with over 20 other organizations on campus. She was also involved in the successful solidarity campaign with STAND (Students Towards A New Democracy) for Unicco workers strike in the Spring 2006 that won them a raise, health insurance, and the right to unionize. She graduated Summer 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication with concentrations in Communication Studies and International Studies, and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Religious Studies. She is interning as part of the 2008 Internship Program at The Clinton Foundation in NYC in the Correspondence Department.
