The gentrification of the Mission District brought a "gang list" that affected young people in a 60-block radius, limiting their freedom of movement and association. Vicente Garcia used his 2007 Young People For fellowship to organize the community to stop the gang list.

Tip, while an undergraduate student, was a leader of the Social Action Club and the Democratic club on campus. He works on environmental issues, issues of civil liberties, and issues concerning conscious consumerism; also, he has experience working on local electoral campaigns.
Post-Summit Goal: To continue working toward widespread conscious consumerism.
