The gentrification of the Mission District brought a "gang list" that affected young people in a 60-block radius, limiting their freedom of movement and association. Vicente Garcia used his 2007 Young People For fellowship to organize the community to stop the gang list.

Victoria is involved with NYU's chapter of Voices for Choice. She has interned in her local Akron, Ohio, Planned Parenthood health center as well as in both the district and Washington offices of Congressman Sherrod Brown.
Post-Summit Goal: To use the arts to increase civic participation on campus.
